Narrowing down a major and deciding where to apply to college in the U.S. can be a daunting experience since there are so many schools to choose from. It's never too early to start! If you need help to determine what you might want to do in the future and where is the best place to do it, SMA helps you focus on what's important to you and develop a plan to reach your goal.

RESUME WRITING FOR STUDENTS
You've looked for a resume template, but you're still not sure which one to use, what information to include, and/or you don't have enough information to fill up one page. SMA works with you to create a resume that is appropriately formatted and informative.

INTERVIEW SKILLS
If you only get one chance at making a first impression, do you know how to make it a positive one? SMA shows you the do's and don'ts of conducting yourself on interviews. This session equips you with the basics that will help you succeed in various situations in your lifetime.

LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Are you being passed over because it's not obvious to others you possess leadership qualities? Or are you in your first leadership role and not sure how to conduct yourself in front of the group now that you're the "leader?" SMA will show you how to exhibit leadership qualities, instill confidence in a group of people, and to lead by example.

WORKSHOPS: SMA offers workshops to groups of eight or more people. They are 1-1.5 hours in length and the topics are customized based on the needs of the group. Workshops are interactive and include current information on the market. Examples of topics include:

RESUME COACHING
You think your resume is good and you've had your mom or co-worker look at it, but you're not getting any responses. Whether you are an experienced professional in search of a job change or a college student seeking an internship, SMA will work with you to write a resume that will get noticed by potential employers.

PHONE INTERVIEW COACHING
With the rising costs of fuel and to save time, many companies are now using phone interviews to gather information about candidates before moving on to in-person meetings. Because the impression you leave during this screening process is based 100% on the sound of your voice and what you say, SMA will coach you on how to present yourself and build a positive rapport with the interviewer.

IN-PERSON PRESENTATION COACHING
Sometimes your job search will require you to meet with potential employers face-to-face at multiple events, from a job fair or networking event to an informational interview and then a job interview in an office, public place, or over a meal.
