C3 = CONSIDERING COLLEGE & CAREER
With over 14 years of experience interviewing recent graduates for jobs, it is very easy for me to identify the outstanding candidates on paper. These one-on-one coaching sessions are designed for the student who hopes to be gainfully employed shortly after graduation or accepted into graduate school. The counseling sessions include a discussion of interests, education and career goals, the importance of seeking opportunities while still in school, and developing an action plan.
RESUME WRITING FOR STUDENTS
This group workshop is designed to provide students with guidance on content and format of their resume. This is a hands-on session and each student will be given individual feedback and suggestions.
INTERVIEW SKILLS
This session discusses the ABC's of first impressions, gives students information about the importance of making a good first impression in any type of situation, and gives them the opportunity to practice what they learn. Topics include the do's and don'ts of: attire, body language, content and delivery of greetings and parting salutations. Students gain confidence through modeling, role-playing, and receiving constructive feedback.

"I submitted my resume for an internship before my junior year and didn´t get a response. I´d like to get an internship before I graduate in order to improve my chances to get a full–time job after graduation. SMA helped me re–write my resume, suggested some activities to get involved in before I graduate, and I learned how to network and conduct informational interviews. The personalized coaching was really helpful and useful to receive while still in school."
